Where does the Kids' Factory get their money? We have been funded by a variety of grants, individual donations, fundraisers and gifts. Our initial grant funding came from First 5 Siskiyou, the commission that oversees funds from Proposition 10 tobacco tax revenue to provide services for children aged 0-5 and their families. First 5 Siskiyou continues to be a major contributor through an annual grant. We also have received funds from the Shasta Regional Community Foundation, Siskiyou Community Services Council, Small Counties Initiative, Child Abuse Prevention Funds, Siskiyou Health Partnership, from Behavioral Health through a statewide mental health initiative, and from US Bank and Premier West Bank. The Kids' Factory is a member of the Dunsmuir Chamber of Commerce. Local businesses support us as well. The Pizza Factory, Toni and Eileen's Catering, Alpine Gourmet, The Video Station, The Brown Trout, Thriftway, Rapunzel's Castle, Cutting Edge Salon, Sengthong's and Cafe Maddalena have all contributed to our success. Our local service clubs have supported us. The Dunsmuir Rotary provides us with funds annually for our summer camp t-shirts. We hold an annual "Evening of Romance" that is traditionally a sell-out event featuring chocolate, champagne and music by local artists, Victor and Allison. We do receive funds from individual supporters. As a not-for-profit agency, donations are tax-deductible. Join others that support us by sending a donation today! |
