“Transforming Mental Health Services One Community at a Time”
Approved by California voters in 2004, the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) aims to reach out to and provide mental health services and supports to any member of our community with mental health needs.
Short term (90-day) services include:
Restaurant and Motel Vouchers
Emergency Utility Funds
STAGE Bus Vouchers
Early Intervention Services and Supports
Life Skills and Advocacy
Long term services for people with a diagnosed mental health condition include the short term services listed above and the following:
Education - Assistance with applications, financial aid, tutoring, career planning and other educational needs.
Employment – Assistance with job searches, resumes, interviews, job skill development and maintaining supported or independent employment.
Life Skills and Advocacy – Assistance with daily living tasks, developing and implementing life action plans and working on therapeutic strategies as defined by a consumer’s counse
“Whatever It Takes”
One of the main goals of the MHSA program is to do “whatever it takes” to work together with our consumers in any way we can to help them become self sufficient, independent, productive and contented members of our community.
Our services are available to everyone in our community regardless of gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation or socio-economic level.
